The concept for the Perdue collection imagines an abandoned theme park discovered in the forgotten corners of the grounds of Palace Versailles. The range draws inspiration from surreal and gordy disbanded fairgrounds around the world, interpreted through a luxe lens.
To help bring our concept to life, we enlisted the skills of Camilo Medina. The work of the Chicago-based artist, is akin to a surrealist acid trip, whilst his graphics are designed with precision and skill; a match made in collaborative heaven.
Playful but edgy motifs play a significant part across the range; a twisted Cupid
features, as do distinctively skewed cartoon duck faces, flaming carousel horses and kissing swans, evocative of an old love boat ride.
Imagine what the discovery of an abandoned amusement park might have looked liked in a parallel world where time and date doesn't limit cultural scope; that’s ‘Perdue’.
Playing on the contrast between high and low brow design, with a dash of counter culture, slacker art, bootleg toys and character design, our ambition is that it all translates into a high end look and feel with a sense of humour to boot.
When designing, we began to imagine fantastical worlds and undiscovered treasure in far off places. That provided starting inspiration for the new collection, and then the events of the last couple of years just heightened our lust for such escapism, yearning for travel or feelings of wanderlust.
To bring our ideas to life, we worked with Camilo. We love his take on bootleg art and wonky interpretations of normally sugary sweet characters – his ideas of mashing these things together with the added perfection of Baroque opulence was exactly the aesthetic we wanted with Perdue.
The Precipice earrings earrings are our top sellers, so we’ll be donating £5 from each pair sold during April and May to the DEC Ukraine Appeal. No code to apply, we’ll just divert £5 per sale and make the donation in early June.
It’s tough to hear about all that is going on across the world, and we hope everyone is doing okay. We like these simple tips for staying well, from Very Well Mind.
Our thoughts are with those most directly impacted, including those of Ukrainian, Russian and neighbouring country nationalities, or with close links there. We also feel for those for whom experiences of humanitarian crisis and conflict are direct memories or live struggles elsewhere in the world.
Here’s hoping for a more harmonious future. And if it gets too bad, maybe we can make the alternative dimension that we imaged through our Sphere collection a reality instead!
]]>We're driven by a lust for unique accessories - oh, and quirky homeware, as well as any sort of spectacular trinket! We have a long history of this dedication to tracking down those coveted items and as such, we've become rather good at it (if we don't say so ourselves). In this blog, we'll share some of the brilliant stores where we're lucky enough to have been stocked – and let you know why their shopping experiences definitely deserve your attention...
Starting off slap bang in the centre of the UK's capital, Bonds, Kings Cross is a brilliant concept store that houses the coolest of slick & simple lifestyle gems, alongside being a working Lab where Earl of East scents are produced and you can even book a session to create your own fragrance. Housed within London's Coal Drops Yard, the location is well worth a visit for the epic Heatherwick Studio led architecture alone, which revives two heritage rail buildings in spectacular fashion.
When you're in south London, make sure you check out Circus in Brixton Market - for all your mid-century lusts, mixed with eclectic jewellery and vintage keep sakes. And allow some time to grab a cocktail and some jerk chicken from their plentiful neighbours whilst you're there too. Or if north London is more your thing, The Wearer in Angel is a teeny but fascinating Aladdin's Cave of the best jewellery designers. Clearly after our own heart, they claim to stock jewellery with personality - and we most definitely agree.
Jumping up to Scotland, have you heard about Oh Hello Vintage in Dundee by the maverick stylist that is Honey Pop Kisses? The store decor is Wes Anderson inspired and the stock is a great mix of vintage and independent fashion and lifestyle designers.
Heading south, we're delighted to feature amongst the greats at The Hepworth gallery (in their shop rather than on the walls, sadly ;) in Wakefield. Another epic building, the gallery is a gem of the UK and features the best exhibitions of international modern and contemporary art. Definitely worth a trip!
Jumping down to the south coast, Mutrend Lab in Southampton is a forward-thinking collaborative space. Run as a social enterprise start-up, it features a lovely array of independent designers or ethical brands, and handcrafted or upcycled vintage items. Further east, Peculiar Vintage in Brighton is a must visit destination for jewellery enthusiasts. Dedicated to jewellery with soul, it houses owner Stef Warde’s own pieces, alongside curated guest designers, including ourselves. We challenge you to try to not get excited by the visual delights as you step through their doorway…
Not to forget, we also love to discover distinctive gems online of course. For all your gifting needs check out the treasure trove that is My Shining Armour, or if brightly coloured dress are more your thang, find us alongside a serious quota of patterns and textures at Studio B.
And of course all these delightful shopping adventures will be far more fabulous whilst feeling immense rocking a great pair of earrings (official fact), so make sure you browse our designs, right here.

]]>We're delighted to present our third original collection encompassing ten gold-plated cosmic earrings unlike any others on this planet, launched exclusively with Hypebae.
Drawing upon Egyptology, global politics, counterculture and the cosmos, the Sphere Collection takes an irreverent look at whether an alternative dimension might just be the solution in times of disharmony on earth.
Influenced by cultural pioneers including Sun Ra, the avant-garde jazz musician and philosopher, as well as Harumi Yamaguchi, the Toyko-based artist responsible for some of the 1980’s most iconic fashion images; the impactful collection feature eclectic designs drawing upon celestial and astrological themes.
Let us tell you a story
Each of the unique earring designs together make a complete story; symbolising ten key pillars in an alternative universe that would be characterised by a more egalitarian and harmonious mythical culture.
Every earring is accompanied by a bespoke beautifully printed keepsake Tarot style card, designed in collaboration with German artist Max Loeffler, winner of 2018’s prestigious The Folio Society Award at Quentin Blake’s House of Illustration. The cards are a cosmic keepsake and aim to help bring to life the philosophy and inspiration behind each design.

]]>We've been scheming our new designs for some time now and are mega excited to reveal them very soon. But for now, here's an intro to the team behind our first shoot with the earrings.
First up, thanks to Tamara at Renaissance studio for hosting us on a rather glorious sunny day in Brixton. Ester Keate (far right in the pic below) was the super talented, calm and collected photographer who led the shoot. The fabulous Anna Payne (second in from the right) worked with us on three make-up looks across the day - and even risked her neck by balancing some rather precarious props from a height for one picture, as ya do. Model Bluebell Wooi (central in the pic below - in case you couldnt guess!) looked fierce and powerful throughout, taking even the oddest requests in her stride and even getting an arm work out in for one creative pose...
From the range, you can expect striking and eclectic gold-plated designs bought to life with movement and distinct textures. Think shimmering navy and gold planet-shaped danglies, brushed metal chunky hoops held by vivid emerald colour natural stones, and starry studs adorned with cryptic icons and jewels of deep green and rich burnt orange.
We have drawn inspiration from the cosmos, counterculture, politics and Egyptology. We hope you like it.

Frida was a true maverick of her time who is still challenging perceptions today. Her distinctive works of art mixed realism with fantasy and commented loudly on the world around her, including questioning the perceptions and rules that define us all.
Frida’s epic art work is well documented (and yet still doesn't get tired!), but we wanted to take a moment to reflect on her amazing personal style - and the way that made up part of who she was. From exploring female body image and disability, to the interplay of heritage with fashion, Frida was challenging and pioneering in many ways.
First up, she had an beautiful home and one we have been lucky enough to visit. That's The Casa de Azul in Mexico City, now known as the Frida Kahlo Museum. Her colourways were an epic mix of bold colour pops - predominantly the signature bright blue, accentuated with accents of grass green and canary yellow. And props to Frida for clearly being all over the indoor plants thing waaay before hipsters got on-board.
Secondly, her iconic outfits were pioneering for the day and still influence our high streets. She created her own structured garments to sculpt the lines of her body and ignored fashion trends of the day by embracing indigenous clothing. We also particularly love her passion for intricate and bold embroidery.
Last but by no means not least, her earrings were a cornucopia of eclectic and bold ideas, which seemed in themselves to celebrate the variety and creativity of her mind. It sounds a tad OTT, but seriously check them out in all their array and it’s hard to deny!
Whilst we can’t promise any of these were adorned by Frida or her pals, we did collect a great mix of vintage earrings whilst in Mexico, and would strongly advise you check them out... right here. Snap them up before they’re gone.
]]>Our guests were:
Thanks so much to everyone who joined us or watched live. We especially loved the lively chat that followed! There was loads of great insight, generously shared, and these are just a couple of the snippets:
This year’s theme for International Women’s Day was Press for Progress. The sentiment is basically about keeping the current momentum going around gender equality. And challenging us to translate that into action. With that in mind, this blog isn’t just a report back, but also thoughts about next steps...
We definitely don’t have all the answers, but we’re going to keep thinking and have drawn a few conclusions to keep us pressing for progress from here:
1. It’s important to help those most in need or whom may be marginalised from the conversation, as a priority. One way we’re doing that is supporting Bloody Good Period - a great initiative to provide menstrual supplies to women who can’t afford them. If you’d like to help, please donate via their website.
2. Whilst we find the word intersectionality really hard to say (without trailing off mid-way through in an awkward mumble), that’s a mini-challenge we’re willing to snap out of, because it’s a sentiment we absolutely support. It’s fair to observe that some of the feminist movements gone-by have largely been championed through the lens of society’s relatively privileged women, so we’ll be thinking about how the next stage can better support all women. Diversifying your sphere of influence is a good way to start. With so much of the UK’s media written by white men, we’ve found gal-dem a refreshing additional news source, written by women and non-binary people of colour – as a mechanism to help readdress the balance of voices defining our news agendas.
3. Gender stereotyping starts young. Apparently it even happens before we are born, with nurses reporting that when parents know the sex of their child they’ll usually describe their baby’s movements as flutters or wriggles if it’s a girl, or kicks and thuds if it’s a boy. We’re definitely going to step up our own kid banter game. No more go-to comments on pretty dresses with little girls or strong big-ups with little boys. We’ll be mixing up the small talk props by focusing on comments about being smart, kind and curious - for all genders.
4. Men need to be championing change. In a similar way that (we assume) you’d assume your heterosexual friend would be against homophobia and prepared to take a stand against it, we need to assume men are pro gender equality, if we believe them to be decent human beings! Talk to the men in your life. Help them get it if they don’t already. Here are a couple of content pieces we’d recommend they check out if they want a place to start to help inform their thinking:
For International Women’s Day on Thursday 8th March, we’ve been invited to curate a panel discussion at members club, The Kings Head in Haggerston, London.
As well as the lure of great music and free bellini cocktails from 8-10pm, we felt that being given a platform to reflect on gender equality during this, the ‘year of the woman’, had to be taken up. We’ll be joined by three outstanding guests to discuss some of the key issues, and celebrate the trends and heroes already making real change.
Our guests are:
The Kings Head opens at 7pm and the event will start at 7:30pm, before drinks (including those free bellini cocktails) and music into the evening. We'll also have some earrings on sale with 20% of the takings going to Bloody Good Period in case you fancy some new bling - to help celebrate your own greatness ;)
Spaces at the event are restricted so that members can be ensured access, but we’d love to invite as many of you along as we can squeeze in!
If you’d like to join us, please email hello@milktoothldn.com by 9pm on Wednesday 7th March - and we'll pass your information on to The Kings Head for their Guest List.
We hope to see you there x
]]>On the 13th of Feb we held a Galentine’s party with Mean Mail. A few weeks previous we didn’t even know what Galentine’s was, even now we're only 90% confident... but basically it's about celebrating love for your pals instead of just focusing on romantic love, which sounded good to us.
That said, there wasn't too much strategy behind us marking the day... But we never need much convincing to host a knees up, plus we thought it would be a good opportunity to counteract some of the lame chat around this time of year - from dreams of romantic grand gestures (caught on camera of course), to the myth of prince charming providing happily ever after, to our supposed universal desire to be given 'exquisite' Pandora charms. Vicky founded Mean Mail as a direct response to being exasperated by the lack of authentic, witty cards to suit her own relationships - so we felt like we had just about enough reasons to make it happen.
But most importantly, we wanted to do something useful with the event. So we reached out to Bloody Good Period after hearing about them from the lovely Amika George who runs the Free Periods campaign. They provide menstrual supplies to asylum seekers, refugees and people who can't afford them. It's a simple solution to a problem that is all too easy to ignore when finding two quid a month for some tampons isn't something you need to plan for. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the brands who donated to our fundraiser raffle. Please check them all out. They all made the effort to help - and we appreciate it >>> @ripostemagazine @studio_b_fashion @paper_smiths @myfreda @daisyemerson @deloresdaywear @4thestatebooks @roserankin_ldn @sarahbaily @labasketry @skullandheart @saintaymeschocolates @tonightjosephine
Back in party prep world, we concluded the appropriate refreshments were donuts & margaritas, naturally. The margaritas didn’t quite work out, but we had some tasty drinks donated from the guys at Kombucha and Ugly and filled the alcohol gap with love tokens for the bar and copious bottles of prosecco, so it was alright on the night. We were also delighted that Second Home wanted to work with us to host the event. We've been interested in their thinking on the future of work for some time, and also love their epic approach to design. It's a great space.
The second strand to our 'let's do something useful' ambition, was to call out some of the female-skewed Valentine's clichés and have a proper chat about why the heck we're subjected to all this rubbish. We had lofty ambitions to get a line-up of maverick, insightful and interesting women to take part in a panel discussion. And by some crazy stokes of luck, that's exactly what we did, hosting four brilliant guests that we are massive fans of, to discuss feminine stereotypes, feminism, best mates, personal heroes and more.
Our guests were:
It's hard to summarise what was covered since they shared so much interesting stuff - with candour, wit and conviction. For us, these were just some of the highlights:
Thank you so much to all the contributors, event partners, raffle donors and everyone who joined the party, bought a raffle ticket and supported online. You can check out more photos on social media. You can also still support the cause by donating to Bloody Good Period here.
Make sure you're signed up to our newsletter here so you hear about what we're up to next - and stay in touch through all the social channels, it's always great to hear from you.

]]>Today we meet Sarah Akwisombe - the straight-talking interior stylist with a penchant for monochrome alongside bold colour pops.
You’ll have no doubt seen the fresh interiors Sarah shares creation of in her own Croydon home, lusted after her streetwear influenced style, and even spotted her and the fam in that festive Ebay TV ad. But, what you may not know is that Sarah is a bonafide popstar, who helped pioneer Grime music as alter ego GoldieLocks. Yes, really! Oh - and she has set up her own training programme, brilliantly named, the No Bull Blog School. You really should check it out... But for now, let’s find out more...
How would you describe your style?
I’d say my look is quite pop, but with a bit of humour to it - so irreverent basically. My clothes are always very casual, but in a put-together way. I love pastels at the moment - and am also coveting anything textured, preferably fluffy or at least stroke-able!
What’s your dream dinner party line up if you only had three chairs to fill?
I’d have to have my husband there - so we could tick off a nice dinner date at the same time, which is something we’re always trying to find time for (and a babysitter!). Plus he’d be excited to meet the same people as me anyway. I reckon we’d invite Tyler the Creator and… Jennifer Lawrence. I feel like I should say someone mega intelligent, but I don’t know any intelligent people... I reckon that would be a good group anyway - and most importantly we’d have fun.
Where’s your favourite place to visit and why?
I went to Austin Texas for a festival thing when I was making music. It was great weather, obviously, but also just felt like a really cool music scene. And the food is amazing. Loads of barbeques, sauced ribs and stuff like that. It’s somewhere I’ve always felt like I didn’t explore properly, so I would love to go back. Although that said, I’m also desperate to go to Japan. We’re saving up for a trip at the moment in fact. I feel like it’s going to be my spirit animal of countries.
Where do you get your style inspo from?
I don’t really look to fashion stuff. I don’t read fashion magazines or follow that kind of thing, but I really like counterculture - and street-style. I also like to like look back in history for retro and vintage inspiration. I prefer indie brands if possible, but then the obvious like Nike for trainers and stuff. It’s great when a little funny independent brand pops up on Instagram or something. I just found one that makes these t-shirts of chicken chubs, and I was like, yeah, I need that. I like things that are just a bit silly and don’t take themselves too seriously.
What does jewellery mean to your style?
I think it is a really good way to finish off a look. Because I dress really casual and wear baggy oversize men’s stuff, it’s a nice way to add some glam. I use it to make my outfits quite feminine - and to show I’ve made an effort basically. Otherwise, I could just look like I’m rolling up in my tracksuit, which is a bit dodgy in some circumstances. But if I rock up in a tracksuit with some blingy jewellery, people are confused and assume it’s a fashion look. So then I can totally get away with the tracksuit…
So what is your favourite piece of the Milk Tooth range?
I don’t have my ears pierced, so I’m all about the vintage clip-ons. I’ve got a couple of amazing pairs from Milk Tooth that I love. Normally anything chunky and gold is good for me. From the new range though, my favourites are the Women earrings. I like that they’re quite different to the other stuff that you guys have done before - and they’re quite different for me too, because I usually like geometric straight lines. But with these, I’m loving the fluidity - and it has a slightly retro feel as well.

Today we meet Siobhan Maroney aka Just a Uniform - the multi-coloured fashion blogger representing for Kent and leaving a trail of glitter wherever she goes.
You’ll have no doubt seen her honest blogs and daringly experimental fashion mash ups. ]]>Welcome to Love to Love - a series of interviews with top women we love to love, about all the stuff they love to love.
Today we meet Natalie Campbell - the sassy commentator, Founder of A Very Good Company, and one third of Talk Radio’s Badass Women’s Hour.
You’ll no doubt have marvelled at Natalie’s quick wit, strong hair game and variety of lip colours already, but what you may not know is that Natalie’s first business was a fashion store she launched aged 21, plus as a Civil Service Commissioner she plays a seriously important role helping to select the most senior Whitehall staff in the country. Impressive stuff. Let's find out more…
How would you describe your style?
I go for simple, but impactful. I’m not driven by trends and don’t buy lots of stuff anymore; it really has to be about sustainable purchases. I’m often in black but will accessorise - although with just one thing, I’m not someone who layers up. For me, jewellery is everything. You can update your whole outfit with the right earring, with the right necklace - or when on holiday, the right crown, whatever it is! It’s the thing that lifts an all-black outfit, or that makes you feel like you have a brand new look to rock in a dress you’ve had for 10 years.
If you were hosting a dinner party with only three seats, who'd you invite?
Everyone knows I’m a massive Rhianna fan, so she’d be there for sure. Also Michelle Obama - because she’s superwoman of course. And, sorry for such a cliché, but Anthony Joshua, for visual reasons! (*We also hear he’s very sweet, so sure that’s your main motivation, right Nat?!)
What’s the favourite place that you’ve ever travelled to?
New York holds a special place in my heart. I love the chilled, down-to-earth culture in Brooklyn, but also being in Manhattan with the glamour and scale of the buildings - and supersized food! The city reminds me how small we all are, but equally big you can be. I was inspired by a massive billboard I saw aged fifteen of Puff Daddy in Times Square - and I fell in love right then. It’s a place that always gives me fight. (*We are also big fans - check out our guide to jewellery shopping in the Big Apple, right here)
Do you have any go-to places for fashion inspiration?
My friends. If you’re wearing a really cute outfit, I’m going to ask where it’s from - and may well copy! I’m not really someone that looks at things on social media and covets stuff, it’s more of an immediate, real-life feeling. I also have go-to brands like Joseph, Max Mara, Jigsaw. Places you can walk in and know you’ll get something so you don’t have to think too hard, I don’t like having to overthink!
Tell us about your fave Milk Tooth earrings...
At the moment it’s The Lovers - because that’s where I’m at right now, all about the love, trying to find a man - so hoping this is a subliminal thing too! But also I love the shape - womanly, but again it’s simple whilst statement, which is a really hard combination to get, but is what’s happening right here.
Embrace the love with your own pair, right here.

]]>Welcome to Love to Love - a series of interviews with top women we love to love, about all the stuff they love to love.
Today we meet Bethany Rutter aka Arched Eyebrow - the opinionated fashionista with passions for literature and lipstick in equal measures, who is leading the charge for plus size confidence alongside entertaining the Twitterrati with side-splitting daily life bantz.
What you may not know, is that Bethany is a E17 residing bonafide fashion designer in the midst of planning a wedding she's excited about getting excited about, but scared about getting too crazy life-takeover excited about, if you know what we mean... Let's find out more.
How would you describe your style?
I try to keep it casual, but always with a statement piece so it feels special (*erm... a pretty glam interpretation of casual in our eyes Bethany!*)
What’s your dream dinner party line up if you only had three chairs to fill?
David Byrne of Talking Heads, Beth Ditto and Nigel Slater. Just think, music and food sorted. And the style stakes would be high too.
Where’s your favourite place to visit and why?
LA - because it’s all the fantasy glamour I wanted it to be! I always think people who live there must feel like they are on holiday the whole time.
Where do you get your style inspo from?
Instagram. I particularly love perusing the feeds of big women pioneering great style choices. Favorites include Nicolette Mason and Dani Vanier.
What’s your go-to item of clothing to make you feel totally awesome?
Not to be too self-promoty, but it really does have to be the Slim paperbag-waist trousers in bright green from my range with Navabi. I love the colour and they make me feel boss lady meets colour blocking fashionista. (*totally down for a bit of self-promo when the trews are JUST SO GOOD lady*)
And finally, tell us about the earrings you're wearing.
It had to be The Cloud because I love a big, bold earrings and they really stand out. Plus they are evoking some vagina vibes, which I am definitely pleased about. (*We had genuinely never thought of that, but now you say it, we agree - and it definitely adds to our love of these beauts too!*)
Now, get your own pair, right here x

]]>Kicking off with Bluebell Wooi (yes that is her real name) - the model whose face you'll recognise off billboards all across the tube, Aston Martin's TV ad and that risque Rankin snogfest video.
What you may not know, is that Bluebell is a south London girl with heritage including south east Asian and Irish, and a quirky background that has born a confident young woman proud of her rebellious streak, passionate about Pussy Riot and with a cat named Truffles. Let's find out more...
How would you describe your style?
It's a totally mixed bag. I really like some street style stuff, but then also have lots of vintage - so all sorts really. I got that approach from my Mum because she dresses really crazy, in a good way! When I was a baby I had little leopard print DM boots. (*cool Mum alert*)
What’s your dream dinner party line up with just three chairs to fill?
Russell Brand definitely. Also Flight of the Concords - if I’m allowed to make them share a chair (*oh, go on then*). I’m then torn between inviting a hot a man with a Scottish accent (which would be Richard Madden if so - or Simon from Biffy Clyro... or all of Biffy Clyro) or another funny guy… But I think funny will always win for me, so I’ll choose Julian Barratt.
Where’s your favourite place to visit and why?
Malaysia - and Penang in particular. I have family there and have been going for years, so it just has really nice associations and memories. Check it out! (*going on the list, right now...*)
Where do you get your style inspo from?
Instagram. I follow quite a few weird feeds rather than just lots of fashion people. I love the crazy visual illusions on @popmyeyes and for more fashion stuff @lovers&drifters has really cool style.
What’s your go-to item of clothing to make you feel totally awesome?
I have a pair of Vagabond boots with a massive platform. They work with anything and make me stand tall and feel strong.
And finally, tell us about the earrings you're wearing!
I love the colours and the retro feel of the pattern. Milk Tooth earrings are totally different to other stuff out there. That's why I like them. (*Nicely said Bluebell!!*)
Now, get your own pair, right here x

]]>We are delighted to have joined forces with outstanding person and super talented illustrator, Maria-Ines Gul, to create an exceptional collection inspired by all things female.
After meeting Maria (who you may know from Rookie Magazine or commissions from the likes of Gucci and Farfetch) during celebrations for International National Women’s Day 2017, we bonded over our mutual appreciation for avant-garde fashion and design. Many chats and rounds of illustration evolutions later, the Milk Tooth LDN x M.I.G. collection is born.
For us, statement earrings are an empowering way to embrace the brilliance of womanhood, whilst Maria’s beautiful illustrations are themed with thoughtful and witty comments on feminism, so it was natural inspiration for the collection.
The result is a range featuring symbols like keys, shells and flowers, which combine to produce a strikingly fresh take on the delicacies and complexities of femininity. Accompanying the collection is a poem written by Maria to give further insight into our inspiration, which you can find along with our final illustrated designs below.
The limited edition collection features nine unique pairs of earrings, which each come in a bespoke box, also designed by Maria. The earrings are 24 carat gold-plated and super lightweight (you have to hold them to believe it!).

We've long mused that the thrill of putting together a 'high-five-to-self' outfit must not only be lovely for the world's eyeballs, but also great for the soul. Well, today we bring you conclusive (or at a minimum quite decent) evidence that it is definitely good for you.
The logic…
Network building - if you've ever attended an event mainly (or possibly only…) to get dressed up for the occasion - and then ended up meeting loads of nice people, you'll know what we mean.
History swotting - these days fashion is a melting pot of trends from across the ages - all intertwined with important cultural motifs that it's important for us to homage. From the miniskirt symbolising new freedoms for women in the 60s, to the Cleopatra inspired eye liner reminding us of female leaders gone-by (whether they were a tad scary or not!).
Muscle toning - they say it's the little efforts over time that add up. In which case, just think of the cumulative arm toning clocked up through a lifetime of bracelet wearing. And don't even get us started on the calf toning from a pair of killer heels...
Cultural enlightenment - who can deny the multiple connections between fashion, art and science. Just think about fashion and architecture as one example. Our very own Pluralist Collection features bold earring designs inspired by postmodern architecture and evoking the spirit of the late-20th century movement of the same name. Fancy right?
Coordination skills - whether it's a two minute ponder whilst in your morning shower, or a dedicated think whilst you wrap up the day before, when on a daily basis you're considering an outfit across underwear, clothes, accessories and hair, it is undeniably good practice for multitasking, mental agility and planning!
Mental health – from embracing exciting colours, to swapping clothes with pals, to feeling totally awesome in a brilliant outfit, there are loads of ways to have fun with fashion. And as long as we don’t take it all too seriously, it can be a fantastic way to celebrate your own choices, be yourself and feel confident.
So, what you waiting for - get hunting for fashion accessories to make you happy (not guarenteed with purchase ;) right here x

We'd like to take a moment to big up some of the badass ladies who have used powerful style choices as a mechanism to shift up perceptions and ignite change.
First up, let’s consider Katherine Hepburn. The Hollywood leading lady’s masculine style choices were positively scandalous at the time and flew in the face of expectations. We thank her for literally breaking the taboo of women wearing trousers. Just think about how stifling it would be if that one had never been sorted?!
Jump ahead to the 60s and Mary Quant smashed the connection between showing some leg and being considered 'frightfully uncouth'. It was an important moment in terms of calling out how unacceptable it is to label women as slutty for what they wear - plus challenging the connection between sexuality and morality.
Just one decade on, and Vivienne Westwood helped pioneer punk, kicking off a politically charged cultural movement that influenced society hand in hand with fashion. She continues to make bold fashion statements and remains a leading influence across mainstream creative culture today.
In the 80s, Madonna took boldness on female sexuality to a whole new level with her bodices, pointy boobs and Sex book. Far from being the pawn, she creatively directed and produced her work and portrayed a sexual women in charge.
Bjork seriously challenged the music scene by literally mashing up contemporary artistry and music in the 90s. She also did loads for female representation in the industry by insisting on rightful Producer and Writer credits and refusing to be the ‘front lady’ in a male led industry.
Whilst this lady has been styling it out for nearing a decade (literally) it was in the 00s that Iris Apfel entered most of our lives. She has showed unequivocally that age ain't nothing but a number - shifting perceptions on female beauty and style through outlandish and experimental fashion choices.
Beyoncé has been killing it since the 90s, but we have to say her more recent bold choices have really taken it next level. From Black-Panther-evoking dance routines to a semi-naked pregnancy look book, she’s made even our eyes pop - in a good way, we think... Because thought provocation has got to be a key part of all this, right?
But the thing we most truly love Queen Bey for is inspiring a whole generation, and black girls in particular, to feel proud and empowered by the true awesomeness of their thighs. That is cool - and quite an achievement! Women in all their variety encouraged to stand strong. Now that is a true service to society.
Fashion is a form self-expression and creativity and plays an important part in our culture. We reckon our choices can have a powerful influence on society - and these women certainly prove the case, hands down! Sisters, we salute you.
]]>For some, Valentine's Day is about being the most romantic, for others it's an excuse to publicise couple smugness, for others it a total load of rubbish. For us, well we reckon any excuse to celebrate basically... anything, is all we need – so why the hell not!
And yes okay so we also get that it's a marketing hook to make us feel like we need to buy a whole load of stuff blah blah, but ignoring all that...
Here's our guide for making Valentines a super FUN day:
Indulge - first up, start the morning by announcing you will only be drinking pink champagne - all day. In reality it will be Prosecco, caffeine is still welcome and you'll move on to water by 11am, but it's the excitement in that intention during those first few hours that is the fun bit.
Style it out – whether it's a subtle rosey lippy, an anti-Valentine's goth look or a kitsch as you like heart-printed dress, we reckon a bit of dress up is always fun... And if it's the romantic vibes you want to jump on for the day, we thoroughly recommend our abstract 'Lovers' earrings..
Go full on Betty Cooper – cut the kiddies breakfast toast into heart shapes, give out mini-packets of love hearts to strangers, bake heart shaped cookies for your colleagues (or at least intend to and then actually buy a pack of those heart shaped Haribo on your way in to work).
Embrace the love – we reckon an excuse to take some time out and ponder all those you love is really rather nice. So make sure you text your best pals, call the Aunty you know is going through a tough time, cover your partner in a 101 kisses (even if they tell you to stop after 7, we're sure they'll see the romantic side in the end - or start laughing at a very minimum).
Go your own way – when it comes to what you actually 'do', make sure it's something you want 'to do'. There's nothing worse than forced fun - from going large with your pals on Tuesday night just to prove how much you looove being single, to squeezing into a packed restaurant for a fixed price set menu just because it's the done thing. If those options work for you - great, but if you'd rather be snuggled up at home with your lover, having tea with your Mum, or doing nothing at all, that sounds great to us - and has no reflection on how happy or successful you are!
Treat yourself – since self love is obviously the most important prerequisite of any goodness, we reckon you need to buy yourself a Valentine's present - whoop! We'd recommend something frivolous and fun e.g.:
So there it is, our guide to a super fun Valentine's Day. We hope you enjoy yours x
]]>Okay so it's a bit cold, but we reckon everyone can be a bit unfairly down on our friend winter... Here's some top reasons to embrace it!
Faux fur - with everything. Coats obviously, but we're also very pleased to see trims a plenty this year and even the continued rise of the glorious fluffy Pom Pom. Only line drawn is at those Club Kid type fluffy boots in neon. Will leave those for the Emo teens...
Warm booze - cider, wine, whiskey. Positively soothing for the soul...
Staying in in - a time of year when it's totally legit to convince yourself that you're staying as part of a new healthy lifestyle choice, but actually it's because you have a primal urge to hibernate - and really want to complete that boxset. PJs on by 7:08pm - woo hoo!
It's well sparkly - so obviously there's Christmas with all the tinsel and twinkle lights, quickly followed by the glitter and fizz of NYE, but even beyond that Mother Nature ensures the bling. We've got shimmering frost in the mornings, flickering fires & candles encouraged by those dark eves - and even the odd flurry of crystal snowflakes. And to top up the frosty fabulousness, there's also statement earrings of course - browse ours at www.milktoothldn.com/store
Getting hairy - what a relief to sack off the waxing, shaving and plucking palarva. Time to embrace eu naturale hidden under all those layers. Plus hair is good for keeping insulated. Fact. And if you get caught out in a changing room or some such, no probs, just pretend you're cooler than you are and totally comfortable with 'freeing the pit' (in fact, that may even be worth considering come May...).
The annual reboot - there's something about observing the death and rebirth of all the plants and things to encourage some perspective on life. It's a chance to reflect, set new resolutions and think about all those new opportunities ahead.
